Motorola Solutions Concludes Contract with U.S. Navy to Assay LMR System

LMR it's a Land Mobile Radio System was created to provide communications in the U.S. Navy bases all around the world. Motorola Solutions awarded a contract with an initial value of $23.8 Million. Among others, it consists of four options, performing of which would increase the amount to $93.6 million.
Land Mobile Radio System is used to coordinate the deployment and actions of the rapid mobility squad at Navy facilities worldwide. It coordinates Navy emergency response services and other government-owned agencies accessory to public safety. Mark McNulty, vice president and general manager of Motorola Solutions' U.S. Federal Government Markets Organization said? that the company is proud to provide mission-critical communications solutions to the U.S. Navy.
As he claimed, LMR is necessary for ensuring the safety of U.S. service members at Navy bases around the world. Inter-institutional coordination is the main factor in reducing casualties.
According to clauses of the contract, Motorola Solutions provides hardware's and software's preventive measures, technology and software upgrades, equipment repair and replacement, management of software licenses and currency, asset and configuration management, password management, and vulnerability scanning and testing. It's expected to finish work by December 2020. In case of completion, work will continue through June 2023.
